Roselyne Leavitt

Roselyne was born in the village Hazelham in the northern part of the Drothgar kingdom. When she was of five years, the village was ransacked and razed by the Elvish army during the Fey-Human war. Roselyne 's father, staying to fight, sent her mother and her away to the nearest keep. While they were fleeing, they were intercepted by a forward scouting force. Roselyne 's mother was captured and Roselyne had to make her way the rest of the way on her own, not sure of what became of her family.

Upon reaching the keep, Roselyne learned she was the only one from her village that had made it and gave the news of the attack. Baron Georges, keeper of the keep, mustered his men-at-arms and headed off to repel the invaders. Meanwhile, Roselyne rested and was given some food, watching the large oaken double doors as she waited for her mother to come get her. Hours passed until evening fell and Roselyne found herself feeling very ill as worry began to set in. The baron's men returned late into the night with grave news of the village's attack. Those that had stayed to fight were slaughtered and much of the village had been burned to the ground. By the time the baron had arrived, the Elves and their allies were in the process of looting and pillaging. Deftly dealing with the invades, the baron and his men began searching for any survivors in the area but had been unable to find anyone in the surrounding woods. Roselyne was alone.

Taken into the ward for orphans, Roselyne was raised quietly in the keep. She was educated, learning how to read and write, and kept well fed, much better than a typical villager would be. She was advancing in life after the death of her family, but her past haunted her. As she learned more of the war growing up, the more she came to resent the Fey for what they had taken from her. As her coming of age approached, she decided that service for the crown which had taken care of her was what she wanted to do. Roselyne wanted to aid the kingdom in any future issues. Her oratory and writing skills garnered the attention of the Courier Services Headmaster, Diane, who resided at the keep. Diane took Roselyne under her tutelage and started instructing her on how to best present herself and take advantage of situations to gain information. Roselyne quickly learned that though swords and bows dealt the final blows, information was the important ingredient to winning wars.

Trained in the ways of a Courier, Roselyne came of age and was granted apprenticeship into the Courier Services. Spending a few more years with Diane, Roselyne graduated from the apprenticeship and was assigned to the capital city of Seuson. Under the main headquarters of the Courier Services, Roselyne began to excel at her job. In months, she became a respected Courier who was dispatched on many international correspondence and information missions. Working closely with Diane, Roselyne completed many missions for the kingdom and helped with the peace brokering between the Human nations and the Fey nations. Roselyne garnered the attention of the court and was invited as an adviser to King Benjamin of House Canmere.

Now a confidant to the king, Roselyne handled the nations secrets and organized missions to gather more information about neighboring nations with the help of the investigative and secret Seekers. Roselyne and Diane became a dynamic duo renown throughout the kingdom as they became the head members of the Courier Services. As Diane grew in age, she relegated many of the tasks to Roselyne, her trusted pupil, and Roselyne took care of Diane, who was the new mother figure in her life. With Diane retiring from the Courier Services, Roselyne became the new Headmaster and the closest adviser to the king. In this position of power, Roselyne dictated what interested the kingdom and what was important. She dealt with spies and traitors, and personally safeguarded the secrets of the nation. Roselyne was far beyond the humble village she was born in.
